Laurie Jamieson is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New York. She began her career in Washington, D.C. at the law firms of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and Dewey Ballantine LLP in the securities and corporate practice as a non-legal professional.
Ms. Jamieson attended Boston College Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review, graduating with a Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude.
Ms. Jamieson joined the Boston law firm of Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault LLP where she practiced in the Corporate Department representing companies and investors. Ms. Jamieson then joined the global computer services and technology company Wang Global, Inc. as Assistant General Counsel, specializing in domestic and foreign mergers and acquisitions and securities laws, and then as Counsel - Americas International, responsible for the company’s operations in Central and South America. Following the acquisition of Wang Global, Ms. Jamieson became the Vice President and General Counsel of Boston-based Student Advantage, Inc., a venture-backed, national marketing and service provider for students, colleges and universities with a special focus on campus-based payment programs.
Prior to her legal experience, Ms. Jamieson graduated from Swarthmore College with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors.
