effective, practical agreements. Specific projects have included:
Services/IT Outsourcing Services. Negotiation of customer contracts
for outsourced IT services including on-site and remote network design
and help desk services. Clients included Morgan Stanley (Help Desk
and Break-fix); Dayton Power & Light (Network Design and Help
Desk), Bayer Pharmaceuticals (Help Desk and Break-fix) and Consolidated
Natural Gas (Help Desk and Network Management).
Payment Device for University Students.
Launch of a student ID card program enabling purchases off-campus through
the use of an integrated stored-value platform, proprietary transaction
processing equipment and ACH settlement. Offered as a substitute for
credit cards, the program included the negotiation of university license
agreements, the rollout of merchant networks and compliance with banking
and privacy regulations. Participating universities included, Carnegie
Mellon, Johns Hopkins, and Princeton.
Work with a software development team to launch a three tier client-server
healthcare application for real-time patient medical records capture.
Successfully resisted attempts by a competitor to appropriate proprietary
Membership Program. Support for a national membership program that
enabled students to purchase goods and services at a discount. Included
management of data and privacy issues, support for 12,000 local sponsors
and negotiation of agreements for over 30 national sponsors including,
AT&T, Amtrak, Greyhound, US Airways, Footlocker.
Media Development and Support. Negotiation of contracts and management
of content for on-line properties, including support for:
Athletic Department Hosting Services. A network of 120 sports
web sites offering hosting services, online brand management, content
delivery, consumer marketing and business/commerce solutions to
university athletic departments.
The largest newswire service for student-produced content with distribution
to more than 500 universities and professional media outlets including,
negotiation of syndication agreements with Lycos and The New York
Loan Comparison Service.
An on-line student loan comparison service with more than 250 participating
schools and over 20 lender partnerships including, negotiation of
agreements with Citibank and American Express.
Events and Promotions. Documentation for multi-media campus marketing
events including, the completion of third party supplier and client
agreements. Clients included Volkswagen of America, Barnes & Noble,
New Balance, Verizon and AT&T.
General corporate legal support for manufacturers and retailers including,
the maintenance of corporate records and negotiation of supplier and
sales agreements. Products included sporting goods (surf and snow boards),
food products and apparel.
